DC Trip Update
April 28, 2020

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the cancellation of the annual FMS DC Trip.

I have been at Ferri for 30 years and in charge of this trip for almost 20 of those years. I have never had to cancel a trip. I never even thought this would be a possibility.
I do believe in the old adage, "Everything happens for a reason" and I am finding some comfort in this.

Those of you that participated in the survey, know that I considered rescheduling our trip, but with so much uncertainty about travel, I felt it was best to stay safe and cancel instead.

You will be contacted by Nations Classroom very soon to explain the refund policy. If you have questions about the finances, please contact them directly.

Also, if you want to reach out to me, please feel free to do that as well.

Stay safe,

Mrs. Horton

Tervis Cups have been ordered
and WERE scheduled to be sent out April 1. 2020.

Here is what I received today - April 6, 2020

Good morning Melissa,

I wanted to let you know that Tervis sent us a message late on Friday April 3rd and let us know that they have shut down their production facility, effective immediately, due to Florida's executive order for "Florida Stay Home". This will last until May 1st.

Unfortunately, this does affect your current order since they were in the process of producing the remaining stainless items that just arrived the day before. I am so sorry, we were given no warning that this would occur. As of right now your order now has an updated ship date of May 5th. I completely understand any frustration and concern and we are doing whatever we can to try to get these items to you as soon as possible.

Please let me know if you have any questions at any time and we will keep you updated as the new ship date approaches. We truly appreciate your business and we hope you are well and healthy.

Please see below for the email statement Tervis had sent us:
" To Our Valued Customer,

As we continue to monitor the Coronavirus, our employees and communities remain on the forefront of our minds.  This week, Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, announced an Executive Order for Florida Safer at Home.  After reviewing this order, the best decision for Tervis, our employees and our communities is to shut down production. We need to do our part in helping to flatten the curve and stop the spread of this virus.

Starting today, 4/3/2020, and running through 5/1/2020, we will be going into a hard lockdown of our Headquarters and Manufacturing facility. Customer service, sales and accounting are working remotely and are available to address your short and long terms needs in addition to pre-booking any orders. We will be sending out acknowledgements with approximate ship dates for in-house orders that are affected by this mandatory temporary production interruption.

Tervis has been manufacturing premium drinkware products since 1946 and is committed to providing our customers with the best quality and performance in the category. Thank you in advance for supporting Tervis and small American companies like Tervis during these difficult times.

We wish you all good health through this shared ordeal,

Jim Athey
Chief Commercial Officer
Tervis Tumbler"

Tervis

I will deliver as soon as they arrive.
